Channa dal vada, also called as Masala vada are crispy and crunchy fritters that are made with channa dal and some indian spices. If you are looking for some best snacks for your tea time, then am sure you would love this one.

INGREDIENTS
- Channa dal, soaked for 2hours - 200gm
- Green chillies, finely chopped - 3nos
- Onions, small size, finely chopped - 2
- Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped - 2tsp
- Garlic cloves, smashed - 5nos
- Ginger, smashed - 1/2 tsp
- Rice flour - 2tsp
- Oil - 250ml
- Salt - 1/2 - 3/4 tsp ( As per taste)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Drain the soaked dal in a colander. Transfer the dal to a blender and blend it for around 5-6 secs to make a very thick paste (Paste shouldn't be thin at all!)
- Transfer the ground paste into a bowl.
- Now add the ginger, garlic, chillies, onions and coriander leaves.
- Add the rice flour and some salt and mix it well.
- Close the lid and keep it aside.
- Meanwhile heat the oil in a pan.
- After 2-3 mins, take small amount of the mixture and make small balls and pat it flat.
- Once the oil is hot, deep fry them.
Tada!
Hot and crispy channa dal vada ready to be served.
Best served with tomato sauce.
