Soya Chunks Curry


Soya Chunks Curry is a flavour-filled dish made with soya chunks cooked in Indian sauce. This protein-rich curry is not only easy to prepare but also a very healthy dish to have. It is best served with Malabar parotas.

INGREDIENTS 
  • Soya chunks, cooked - 120 gm
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Jeera/Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Onions, small size, finely chopped - 1 nos
  • Tomatoes, finely chopped - 1 and half 
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 and half tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Ghee - 2 tsp
  • Curd - 3 tsp
  • Basin/gram flour - 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
INSTRUCTIONS 
  1. Take a pan and add 1tsp of oil in medium heat.
  2. Once the oil is hot, add cumin seeds. Once they start crackling,add the chopped onions. 
  3. Add turmeric powder and saute until the onions are golden brown. 
  4. Now add the ginger garlic paste. Saute until the raw smell of the paste is gone.
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes. Saute until the tomatoes are mushy. 
  6. Add chilli powder, garam masala, basin, salt and  curd. Mix it well. And then add ghee and give it a mix.
  7. Now add 50ml of water, add the cooked soya chunks and mix it well. 
  8. Close the lid and let it cook for 5-7 mins.
And there it goes! Tasty soya chunks curry ready to eat.
